Boston Dance Theater Performs at Salem State University
January 17 @ 7:30 pm$15 – $20
Boston Dance Theater (BDT) opens Salem State’s spring arts season with a performance in the university’s Sophia Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts. BDT takes the stage on Thursday, January 17 at 7:30 pm.
Under the co-artistic direction of Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and award winning, Dutch-Israeli, choreographer Itzik Galili, Boston Dance Theater is Boston’s first contemporary dance repertory company with international ties at the leadership level. With a commitment to presenting works of socio-political relevance that challenge the edges of current world issues, BDT matches the talents of Boston-based dancers with those of acclaimed global choreographers in a tour de force of performative dynamism, community connection and trans-national ambassadorship.
Their recently sold-out run at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston was named one of the best 2018 Dance Performances by The Boston Globe. BDT’s performance at the Gordon Center will feature works by choreographers Itzak Galili, Sidra Bell and Yin Yue.
Tickets for the concert are: $20 general/$15 non-SSU students over 18 and seniors/under 18 admitted free. Purchase online: salemstatetickets.com or by phone at 978.542.6365.
