If Music Could Talk: Howard Paul

Join the Salem Athenaeum for a delightful evening of jazz and a discussion on the history of jazz and the arch top guitar. Howard Paul is a nationally recognized jazz guitarist. He juggles over 150 live performances, dozens of university lectures, and studio work.  He is President/CEO of internationally renowned jazz Benedetto Guitars.

Howard began playing at four & professionally at 13; by 17 he was teaching at a local college & performing with a popular trio. He has performed with an extensive list of legends including guitarists Bucky Pizzarelli, Jimmy Bruno, Joe Beck, Howard Alden, etc. He has shared the stage with Grammy winners Tom Scott, Mark Egan, Bob James, Laurence Hobgood, Gary Novak, Bob Sheppard, Gregg Field as well as 4-time Grammy Nominee Joey DeFrancesco B3). Howard was the 2011 inductee into the Coastal Jazz Hall of Fame. His CD releases include “The Presidents” w/Jody Espina; “New Adventures w/Tony Monaco” 2014; “Just Friends w/Bob James” 2011; and “Jammin’ at the Jazz Corner w/Ali Ryerson Trio” 2009.
