2015 Salem So Sweet Salem Massachusetts

The Countdown is on to Salem’s So Sweet!

Salem's So Sweet Ice Sculptures

Salem's most decadent season is nearly here! The 13th Annual Salem's So Sweet Chocolate & Ice Sculpture Festival will bake, ice, melt, and dip its way into Salem for ten days of February.

The chocolate-infused festival will kick off with the annual Chocolate and Wine Tasting on Friday, February 6th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Colonial Hall at Rockafellas. This delicious event features samples of wine, chocolate, chocolate wine, chocolate tea, chocolate beer, and more wine.  Many of Salem's favorite restaurants and sweet shops will be on hand with their most delicious offerings.  Tickets cost $25 and should be purchased in advance, as this event will sell out. Click here for tickets and information.

Ice Sculptures begin arriving on Friday and by mid-day Saturday fifteen frozen sculptures will be installed around Salem.  2015 sculptures are expected to include a mermaid, ruby slippers, a wedding cake, and more!

The Salem Trolley will provide trolley rides to see the sculptures, weather permitting. Trolley tickets will cost $2 for adults. Children ride free. Trolley stops include the Salem Regional Visitor Center, Pickering Wharf, and Washington Street near Rockafellas restaurant.

Chocolate from Salem So Sweet

Many of Salem's restaurants will feature special chocolate-infused menus, and participating Salem retailers will offer in-store promotions, innovative displays, and items that celebrate chocolate and Valentine's Day. Don't miss the chocolate fountain (no double dipping!) at Maria's Sweet Somethings on Front Street!  Specific store and restaurant offerings will be available from Salem Main Streets the week prior to the festival.

Salem's So Sweet is presented by Salem Main Streets. The Chocolate and Wine Tasting is presented by the Salem Chamber of Commerce and Salem Main Streets.
