Start the 2018 holiday season by catching Santa’s arrival and the annual holiday tree lighting with Salem Main Streets and the City of Salem. Santa arrives at the top of the Hawthorne Hotel at 6:00 pm on Friday, November 23 with assistance from the Salem Fire Department. Arrive early for the best view of Santa’s arrival and to enjoy carols and other family-friendly festivities.
Following Santa’s arrival, join the procession down the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall to the holiday tree lighting at Lappin Park. Bring a lantern to carry during the procession (electric candles recommended) and join Santa and Mayor Kimberley Driscoll in lighting the holiday tree.
