Creatives of Color BOSTON presents our 2022 exhibition, “Blooming Truths”. This project asks the question, “What would the world look like if colonialism never existed, and BIPOC were given the chance to truly blossom?” In our current climate, being BIPOC can sometimes feel like we have to make ourselves smaller just to fit into a world that treats us less than equitably.

BIPOC Artists of various mediums will explore the idea of an alternative future where we aren’t boxed in by the limitations of a post-colonial, Euro-centric world. It will be an opportunity for artists and viewers alike to give themselves permission to take up space, and we were inspired to choose this theme because of a discussion that transpired between us and artists in our community.
