Hamilton Hall and Suffrage100MA are proud to unveil a marker honoring the legacy of extraordinary activists, the Remond family. John and Nancy Remond raised their children at Hamilton Hall, 9 Chestnut St., Salem. The family was committed to the abolition of slavery, women’s suffrage movement, and desegregation of schools in Salem. The new marker will become one of five new Massachusetts marker sites on the National Votes for Women Trail.
