Revolutionary Theatre Company is proud to present Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth on the Meeting House Stage September 21st through the 29th.
Believed to have been written sometime between 1603 and 1607, we are using Shakespeare’s original text explore themes from the 1692 Salem Witchcraft Hysteria that happened almost one hundred years later- and unfortunately still plague society today. A cast of sixteen actors present the tale in our reproduction of the 1692 Salem Village Meeting House at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead, a site with direct ties to the Hysteria.

Tickets are 12.00 and general admission. Tickets may be sold at the door prior to the performance pending availability.
Please also join us before the show at 4pm on opening night for “From Scotland to Salem” a round table discussion with Danvers Alarm List president Kathryn Rutkowski, Nurse Homestead Caretaker Candice Dawes, and Macbeth director Thera Driscoll for further discussion on the Witchcraft Trials, Shakespeare, and our unique venue.
