Gwen Rosemond, professor, writer, storyteller, performer, human rights advocate. Salem’s African-American community has a history that’s as fascinating as it is long-standing. Our newest city parks are named for Charlotte Forten and for the Remond family. Hear Gwen recount their stories—and other facets of Salem’s often-overlooked history.
All events will take place live in the Levesque Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street in Salem, MA. The Levesque Community Life Center adheres to all of the Salem Board of Health’s requirements regarding COVID. Masks must be worn in all public buildings at all times, and social distancing must be maintained. While no food will be allowed, water will be available.
