The 17th annual Salem Arts Festival returns June 6-8, 2025, transforming downtown Salem into a vibrant celebration of creativity and community. This free, family-friendly event attracts over 7,500 visitors annually and features a dynamic blend of visual and performing arts throughout Salem’s historic streets.

- Opening Night Celebration (Friday, June 6, 5:30-8:30 PM) – Join us at Old Town Hall for the festival kickoff featuring live performances, gallery opening, and the exciting Tiny Art Spree
- Juried Art Gallery – Explore carefully curated works from talented local and regional artists displayed in the historic Old Town Hall
- Tiny Art Spree (Friday, 7:00 PM) – Experience Salem’s most exhilarating art acquisition event! For just $20 per ticket, participate in this referee-officiated art frenzy where you can take home original miniature artwork
- Live Mural Slam – Watch as selected artists transform blank 8′ × 4′ canvases into vibrant works of art throughout the festival weekend on Artists’ Row
- Artisan Marketplace – Browse and shop from over 40 local creators offering unique handcrafted items across various mediums
- Multiple Performance Stages – Enjoy live music, dance, and theatrical performances at venues throughout downtown Salem
- “Hissstory” Community Art Project – See the collaborative snake installation created from recycled vinyl banners, celebrating Salem’s creative spirit and commitment to sustainability
