Tours of St. Peter’s Church

Collaboration between the Leslie’s Retreat/Salem Resistance Group, Salem Historical Society and St. Peter’s/San Pedro Episcopal Church has resulted in this year’s commemoration of Leslie’s Retreat.

Come to see this church originally founded in 1733, hear the little-known story of a congregation largely opposed to the patriot cause. Find out about the British general with his own pew, and about the minister who still prayed for members of the royal family after being warned against it.
