Pride is back in Salem, MA again this June with the parade and festival, drag shows, walking tours, parties, and so much more! Pride is a time to come together as a community and celebrate all of the things that make us unique. Here in Salem, MA we work hard to find the magic every day and in June we truly let our magic manifest. For a list of pride celebrations happenings around town, read the list below:
North Shore Pride Parade & Festival
Saturday June 22nd, Downtown Salem
North Shore Pride Parade & Festival will take place on Saturday June 22nd with the parade kicking off at noon from Shetland Park. The route will stroll down Congress Street and end on the Salem Common where the Market and Festival is taking place. The festival will be up and bumping at the Common from 11am to 4pm. Following the festival the fun will continue at BitBar with a Drag shown. If you want to keep the celebration rolling into Sunday, stop by the Derby for their Annual Drag Brunch to support North Shore Pride.
Diamond’s Dine-in Drag Brunch
Sunday June 23rd, Gulu Gulu Cafe
Head over to Gulu Gulu Cafe for Diamond’s Dine-In Drag Brunch! This is a weekly event with local Drag Queen Miz Diamond Wigfall! Each week a new guest is featured, and the event takes place every Sunday from 2pm – 5pm. Be ready for numbers, games, drag, and mimosas all afternoon.
Salem Rainbow Stroll

Join the Salem Rainbow Stroll, a pride-filled jaunt about town, as they uncover the hidden LGBTQIA+ History of Salem & New England. Walk with an ex[erienced guide and celebrate queer local stories, old and new.
This year, The Rainbow Stroll will proudly be donating all proceeds to NAGLY, the North Shore Alliance of GLBTQ Youth, our local alliance of LGBTQIA+ youth, whose mission is to “honor, respect, educate, and empower” LGBTQIA+ kids and teens in our community.
NAGLY provides counseling, get-togethers, food, education for LGBTQ+ youth here in Salem at one of the largest centers of its kind in the country! They’ve got a library, a youth art gallery, and even “The Boutique” a donation-based closet of free, gender-affirming clothes for kids to take home. Heck yea! To learn more about the fantastic work they do and dazzling fun they have, go and give them a follow and visit their website.
Girl Gang Craft Salem Market (Pride)
June 22nd 11am – 5pm, Old Town Hall
Girl Gang Craft, a fem forward community for makers comes to Witch City for 2 weekends this Summer! Come shop with them on Saturday, June 22th and again on Saturday, July 27th at Old Town Hall and Derby Square! FREE TO ATTEND. The June 22nd Market will be pride themed with vendors engaging with the North Shore Pride celebration taking place on Saturday. On site entertainment will include Coleslaw a DJ for us for North Shore Pride!
Salem Pride Pink Party
June 22nd, 7pm Ames Hall
Come watch some of New England’s fiercest entertainers who will be performing alongside our very special guest , SHANNEL! Shannel was recently announced as a cast member for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 9, which is currently airing on Paramount Plus.
Shannel is the ORIGINAL QUEEN, as she was the FIRST to ever step foot into the RuPaul’s Drag Race Werk Room on Season 1, and she also competed on the first RPDR All Stars.
Shannel has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years, and we are excited to have her perform in the heart of SALEM!
The party will be hosted by the North Shore’s Diva, Madam Zapple, and will be accompanied by some of the area’s top entertainers. Get ready to be in awe with performances by Alana Thicc, Chanel the Angel, Destiny, Ladda Nurv, and Shakaren! This party is 21+ only, and a cash bar will be available. Ames Hall does not have an ATM, so get your tipping money before you arrive.

Mimosas with Madam Drag Brunch

Shake your groove thing at MIMOSAS WITH MADAM! Wake up on Sunday, June 23rd, and head over to Village Tavern in Downtown Salem for tasty mimosas, a delicious brunch, and a fabulous drag show! North Shore Diva, MADAM ZAPPLE, is your host, and will be joined by a tremendous cast! Featuring performances by some of New England’s top entertainers:

After-Hours Dance Party + Drag Show
June 28th, 8pm Peabody Essex Museum
Join a cast of wonderful local drag queens for a euphoric evening of drag and dancing! Dance the night away and enjoy a fantastical photo booth by Courtney B Hall, the “Light Witch”, along with a drag show featuring Landon Cider, Miz Diamond Wigfall, Maxine Harrison, Buster Pants, Stardust Cropper, Miss Michael, Dick Kayin, Cain and Peewee Vermin. The event will include refreshments and a cash bar for guests ages 21 and older.
A & J King
Stop into a A&J King for a sweet treat from June 20th – June 23rd! This cupcake was developed to celebrate Pride month and to raise funds and awareness for North Shore Alliance of LGBTQ Youth. The cupcakes have a hint of raspberry and orange zest for a fruity orange creamsicle flavor when paired with our colorful vanilla bean icing. These cupcakes will be stocked for off-the-shelf purchase starting Thursday 6/20-Sunday 6/23. 100% of the proceeds of this product will be donated to NAGLY from both preorders and in-stores sales. Please consider supporting this important organization and the LGBTQ youth in our communities on the North Shore.
