Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival Returns for 2024 Season

The Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival returns this January running from the 25th through the 27th at Notch and Deacon Giles here in Salem, MA. The Festival will be celebrating its 9th Anniversary of laughs and libations.

Now in its 9th year, the Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival celebrates the craft of comedy and shines a light on renowned local makers. The annual three-day winter festival runs nightly from Thursday, January 27th to Saturday, January 29th, 2023. Locations include the award-winning and much-loved Notch Brewery and Tap Room and Deacon Giles Distillery.

“Ticket sales have been robust since release in December, with Friday evening already sold out. We are very much looking forward to our fantastic showcase of over a dozen scheduled comedians chosen from a pool of over 100 submissions,” says Festival producer and comedian Mark Scalia. “We thank our attendees, many of whom have attended the Festival yearly.”

All three nights are hosted by Scalia, a veteran 30+ year comic who has performed across the U.S. and Canada. Each show highlights a Salem business and features their locally made beverages, with Thursday and Friday at Notch, and Saturday’s double show at Deacon Giles. Shows 7p & 9p, 21+ (adult content.) Each show runs approximately 90 minutes.

Advanced tickets available on the Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival website and are highly recommended.

Says Scalia “As a Salem resident and a comedian, we love bringing the craft of comedy home and making people laugh. This Festival gives me the opportunity to raise everyone’s spirit in winter. And, by bringing in comics from all over the U.S., locals get to experience variety in their own backyard.”
